- ppt hwk probs in ch 2 - questions? and then go over naming acids
- Make sure you have completed on the apx - stoichiometry (Authentic AP free response problems
- Make sure you have completed the ch 3 assigned problems (Look back to last week’s homework if you don’t know which ones.
- Make sure you have done P 3.1 and P 3.2 for stoichiometry practice
- I have posted clicker questions from chapter 1 - they are posted as a pdf. Use them, we did not do all of them in class.

- continue with clicker
- Really, now it’s time to have finished up your practice problems in chapter 3

Wed Sept 16 - Extra Help Available, sign up in class.
In Class we did,
- do PRS ch 3 - oxidation #s
- weigh the Alum, then process the data for LAD 1.2
- do LAD 2.1 - MgO
- finish up PRS chap 2
- Process your data for LAD 2.3 - Magnesium Oxide (Send me and email with your partner’s name, mass of empty crucible+cover, mass of Mg, mass of crucible+cover+magnesium oxide product.)
- For LAD 1.2 - Send in your data (Mulu+Tom, Jake+Ben, Mo+Talia) Mass of Al, Mass of fp, the mass of fp with impurities, mass of fp & watch glasss, then mass of alum on fp & watch glass.
- print and read LAD 1.3 - Analysis of Alum
- do the Practice problem handed out in class. You can get it on the ch 1,2, 3 document page if you have lost it.
Thur Sept 17 - Extra Help Available, sign up in class.
In Class we did,
- discuss authentic apx question and discuss P 3.3 - stoichiometry
- work on P 3.4 - Still More Stoichiometry
- Get reading in Chapter 4 about reactions pgs 113-121
- At end of chapter 4 work probs 6, 15, 16, 51, 53 (pg 145)
Fri Sept 18 - Extra Help Available, sign up in class.
In Class we did,
- set up water bottles in the freezer
- discuss melting point determination
- determine the percent of water in the alum
- over apx problems
- If you didn’t do Thurs homework: Get it done. It is listed above.
- I will post a calculator-free Multiple Choice Practice test later on Sat afternoon. Please come back and check by 5 pm it should be posted.
