Tues Sept 6 - No Extra Help - Faculty Meeting
In Class we did,
  • LAD A.1 - Copper Chloride Hydrate Analysis
  • Practice Quiz - Nomenclature and Solubility

Outside of class you should,
  • You first 100% Quiz grade is dependent on the next two items - please get them done
    • Return your Lab Safety Contract - Please do so
    • Return your "Getting to Know You" Sheet - Please do that
  • If you haven't yet, please finish your summer Chapter 3 Practice Test
Wed Sept 7 - Extra Help Available, sign up in class.
In Class we did,
  • finish up LAD A.1 - Copper Chloride Analysis (after putting in the aluminum - a 30 min wait:
    • Over PV = nRT
Outside of class you should,
  • go on line and enter your data from the Copper Chloride LAD. Navigate to the data entry page under unit A
  • work on the the LAD A.1 Process the data and work on your Post LAD questions.
  • Use NS D.2 - Ideal Gas Law to work on
    • P D.2 - Ideal Gas Law and Density
  • Keep working on your Nomenclature and Solubility - Quiz on Thursday

Thurs Sept 8
- No Extra Help - AP Teacher Meeting
In Class we did,
  • Summer pictures...
  • Naming acids and beginning naming organic compounds (ppns-nomenclature slides 9-12)
  • Oxidation Numbers (PRS-A3 slides 67-75)
  • over Processing the Data and some of the LAD A.1 - Post LAD Questions

Outside of class you should,

  • email me with the numbers of any summer practice test problems that you would like to review in class.
  • Work #1 and 2 on the FR packet
  • finish working on LAD A.1 - Process Data and Post LAD Questions and consider putting embedded formulas into excel
  • The first test on Stoichiometry - Unit A (Chapters 1, 2, & 3) will be next Friday 9/16

Fri Sept 9 - Extra Help Available, sign up in class.
In Class we did,
  • Quiz A.2 - Nomenclature
  • Over FR 1 & 2 from the FR Packet
Outside of class you should,
  • If you haven't yet, email me with the numbers of any summer practice test problems that you would like to review in class on Mon
  • read pg 94-95 in textbook, then do the sample exercise 3.15
  • in the FR packet do #3, and 4 (part a & c only), and #7 (parts a, b, and c)
  • keep practicing Nomenclature as necessary AND be sure and work on naming acids
