Mon Oct 3 - Extra help available, sign up in class.
In Class we did,
  • Quiz A.1 - Gravimetric Analysis
  • over PreLAD reactions for LAD B.2 - Redox titration
  • Per 1 - Over test problems
  • Per 4 - start LAD B.2
Outside of class you should,
  • Make sure your preLAD for LAD B.2 is done
  • PER 2 - you should be processing the data for the trials that we got done in class today.
  • Reviewing for another Redox balance quiz on Wed
  • If you did not work your PNet notesheet and Practice page (available on the Unit B document page)...good idea to get going on that
  • Remember that Test corrections for Unit A are due on Fri Oct 7 - Retest available next week (Tues-Fri)

Tues Oct 4

  • LAD B.2 -
Outside of class you should,
  • Processing any Lab data that you have acquired.
  • I would like to send out a chemistry newsletter via email to your parents - please convince them to email me at biggsfhlax@comcast.net (as posted at the bottom of this website) - so I will have their email address. Would it be worth it to you to convince them if I dropped your lowest quiz grade?
  • Reviewing for another Redox balance quiz on Wed

Wed Oct 5 - Extra help available, sign up in class.

  • Quiz on Redox balancing
  • Continue with LAD B.2 - Redox Titration
  • Over Quiz - Grav Analysis
  • PRS - (whiteboards) PNet 1 - DR
Outside of class you should,
  • Submit your data for any trials that you did for Part 2 and 3
  • Process your data for LAD B.2
  • get working on the Post LAD Questions
  • If you have not yet selected your bagel preference - please go do that now.

  • Any last trials for LAD B.2 - Redox Titration and turning in data online and working on questions to ponder
  • (prep for electro and more PNet)
Outside of class you should,
  • It is clear that you need to do some half reaction work - please go to page 821 in your text and work on problems 7 and/or 8 -
  • Also if you need more Redox balance practice (some of you do....) work on problems 9 and/or 10 on pg 821
  • Be sure your lab data has been sent in on the web site LAD data-entry page
  • working on your Post-LAD questions for LAD B.2 - tomorrow is our opportunity to clarify any answers if you ask questions
    • Due on Mon - PreLAD answers (directly on the LAD sheet), Data/Results Table with calcs clearly presents or excel sheet with calcs showing, and Post LAD Questions - typed

  • Please check your calendars, I will be asking you next Tues in class if you are committed to coming to the first Chemistry Prep Session on Sat Oct 22 from 8:25-3pm at NHS
  • Reading and review pages 1-4 of the Net Ionic Notes so that you can have success working the practice
  • Working on P Net 1 - Double Replacement
    • and P Net 2 - Acid Base (answers on the unit B document page - by Sat morning)
    • and P Net 3 - Single Replacement (answers on the unit B document page - by Sat morning)
  • For those of you with Norwegians coming you could get reading in chapter 20, sections 3 & 4
