In Class we did,
- return LAD 2.3 (Last call for Quiz 2.1 today after school)
- discuss the importance of rinsing when filtering
- importance of weighing containers before
- formula method of demonstrating sample calcs and units at head of column
- discuss and process the data for LAD 5.1 - Density of Liquids
- (Per 2 - finish LAD 5.2 - Displacement)
- Excel discussion/instruction
- Questions to Ponder for LAD 5.3 - Density of Solids
- Please remind your parents (or significant adult others) that this Thurs (2/11) is Parent’s Night. I am expecting/hoping that they WILL come.
- Work on your excel graphs for LAD 5.3 - (Perhaps you would email it if you are still having trouble. Perhaps you only print one or the other if it you think it needs work, and not waste ink by printing both - then you can revise again on Tues eve, and then print the final copies.)
- read NS 5.7 - What is Density?
- do P 5.4 - Density of Liquid Problems
- Prepare for a quiz on sig figs and scientific notation on Tues. In addition to P 5.2, consider using P 5.7 - Scientific Notation and more Review sheet

- play around with interpreting the “Density Graphs” by doing P 5.6 - Graphing (Be sure and check the answers to see how you are doing.)
- Review in chapters 1 & 2 for a test on Thurs 2/11

- SNOW DAY !! Yikes, where’s the snow ?!!??
- Most of you need to get back with NS 5.3 - and P 5.2 - To review significant figures. Many quizzes were not very good. We will spend some time tomorrow reviewing sig figs and there will be a requiz on Friday. In addition several of you clearly do not know how to use your calculators to compute with scientific notation. Please review NS 5.2
- Prepare for a test on Thurs on Chap 1 & 2
